MAGNETIC EFFECT OF UNSTEADY FREE CONVECTION OSCILLATORY COUETTE FLOW THROUGH POROUS MEDIUM WITH MASS TRANSFER



Abstract:

The magnetic effect of free convection unsteady viscous electrically conducting fluid of oscillatory couette flow through a highly porous medium bounded by two vertical parallel porous plates with mass transfer is considered. It is assume that free stream velocity oscillates in times about a constant mean and periodic temperature and mass concentration at the moving plate. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using series method .The temperature and species concentration near the plate is assumed to vary with respect to time. The influences of the various parameters on the flow field, skin friction, and rate of heat transfer, rate of mass transfer, temperature field and mass concentration field are extensively discussed from graphs and tables.
