Sixteen visually impaired students of our college were presented cheques worth Rs 2,95,000 by chennai based NGO “Help the blind Foundation”. The local coordinator of the NGO Ramesh Puri handed over cheques to the students in the presence of the Principal Prof Rama Arora. The NGO has given scholarships worth Rs 2.80 crores in the year 2018 to Visually impaired students all over the country.

  • PG Department of Commerce and Business Administration is organising Odyssey 2k19 on 15th and 16th February 2019.
  • Lecture -cum-workshop on ‘Science and Magic’ at PGGC -11 Post Graduate Government College, Sector-11 organized a Lecture-cum-workshop for science students on the topic “Science and Magic” by Prof. Anil Kumar from IIT, Bombay. Professor Kumar had a close interaction with students and made them realise that a keen observation and logical thinking/reasoning is the real meaning of a scientific temperament. He performed several interesting activities and used visual aids which kept the students involved throughout the workshop. He also encouraged them to revisit the curricula of their foundation classes and clear fundamentals. About 300 postgraduate and undergraduate students attended the workshop.
  • Laptops distributed to Blind students at PGGC 11 CS solutions and Source Mash gave away 10 laptops to blind students of PGGC 11. Abhishek Sood Business Head and Gunjan Pental Director of the Company addressed and motivated the students. Principal Prof Rama Arora lauded the efforts of the company and said this would help the students to get employ ability at the completion of their degree .She appreciated the efforts of Ms Gitanjali Kalra coordinator of this program in organising laptops for the visually impaired students
  • To pay homage to CRPF martyrs killed in Pulwama attack on 14 th Feb 2019 All musical,dance and festive events stand cancelled . Competitions and activities related to commerce will continue. This information needs to be conveyed to all participants of other colleges For the on going ODYSSEY event in our college on 16 th February .
  • Dr. Jagjeet Kaur, from History Department is going to participate in Indo-UK workshop on Cultural Heritage,Migration and Indian Diaspora in Ahmdabad on 30-31Jan,2019
